Randomness

Annie Lennox was amazing at the American Music Awards this past sunday. "Why" is an amazing song, and I also love Kelly Clarkson's cover too. So I'm throwing in a badass performance from her.

And because I think Britney owned life with her new album (well at least "If You Seek Amy" and "Circus") Those are enough for me to say job well done.

Britney Spears - Circus

And other tracks I'm refinding...and rocking out to...
Mayday Parade- "Jersey"
Jersey - Mayday Parade

Paramore- "Born For This" (Hayley Williams is rising on my list, because her voice is mad crazy)
Born for This - Paramore

Lady Gaga ft. Colby O'Donis- "Just Dance". She's not my normal sound, and I'd probably never buy an album of hers, but this song is sick as hell. Production is catchy and on point. It's hard to hate
Just Dance (Ft. Colby ODonis & Akon) - Lady GaGa

Kill The Lights-New Britney

Quick and simple. She's back with a new sound, and once again it's a grower, but it's def solid. Biggest improvement is her vocals. She's confident but not fake, but I'll wait til I see a live performance until I make my decision. That's her bread and butter...performing. And maybe, just maybe she'll REALLY be back. Oh and her lyrics are still clever. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to come back stronger than ever.

Red, White, Blue...Election Mood Music.

It's Lauryn. Nuff Said

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

I'm Proud.

I really couldn't think of a better title, because it hasn't sunk in.
I'm fighting beack tears right now as I type this because for all of the discrimination that my people have faced for hundreds of years didn't matter. All of the racists and naysayers who tried to derail this election didn't matter. Yes, we did it. This is a man who genuinely wants to change the lives of EVERY American, and put our country on the level that it deserves to be. And for that I'm proud. But to add on to the fact that this man is black is awe-inspiring. I remember when I was little I used to dream of being president, but it seemed like a dream that wouldn't happen, because unfortunately people like me weren't seen as capable. But this is possible for everyone. I just can't say it anymore we have the first black President. the 44th President of the United States of America is Barack Obama. Dr. King, Malcolm X, W.E.B DuBois, Medgar Evers, Coretta Scott King, Jesse Jackson, George Thomas (my grandfather, who was the first black vice principal in Hartford, Ct. Which makes me even more proud.),and for every other black American who fought for a chance. You didn't fight in vain. For that I thank you. I am a black man. Damn, doesn't it look good. And I thank EVERY American, black, white, hispanic, etc who voted for a new America. Thank You.

This is why we laugh at Elisabeth Hasslebeck.

Because she's a nutjob. SNL showed me that. And on a side note, I actually loved the Jennifer Anniston parody.

And the real Hasslebeck in action..really just for being a dumbass
